A trading bot is a program that follows explicit instructions. It does not predict the future or make trading risk-free. A strategy idea must be converted into precise rules for the supported symbol, timeframe, signal timing, entry condition, contract type, expiry, stake and error behaviour.
Signal and execution are separate
A TradingView chart marker or alert does not prove an order was placed. An automation program must validate the signal, map it to a supported contract, send the request, check acceptance and reconcile settlement. Each stage should be logged separately. Unknown outcomes should never be silently counted as wins or losses.
Safeguards and limitations
Testing should cover repeated alerts, candle-boundary timing, rejected orders, unsupported contracts, network interruptions, restarts and stop controls. Maximum stake and loss limits may reduce certain operational exposures but cannot remove all market or technical risk.
Automation can apply configured rules consistently and keep records, but it can also repeat a coding mistake quickly. Customers should understand the tool, know how to stop it, and confirm exact supported symbols, contract types and setup terms in writing.
